School Counselor

Our School Counseling program is a supportive one for you, your family, and your student throughout their educational career at SCSC. The program is designed to provide services to all students. Through education, consultation, collaboration, and prevention, the School Counselor assists with interests and issues related to the stages of student growth in the areas of academic, career, personal, emotional, and social development. The program is delivered through individual meetings, small groups, and whole class. The goal is to ensure students learn the necessary skills to be the best version of themselves. The School Counseling program also supports the families, staff, and community with referral assistance to other programs and services in the community, including homeless supports.

The School Counselor does not provide psychological diagnosis or treatment. The information is for educational puposes only. If the family feels the student needs more intensive services than the School Counselor can provide, the School Counselor can assist with referring to an outside provider.
